about their responsibility in

that the record companies
put those lyrics on the records.

it comes down to shoot,
and it's adjusted like this

an unknowing disc jockey?

people pay money
[Am]to get things on the radio.
It is not easy to get [F#]things on the radio.
The [Am]playlist is very small.

and [E]screened and [G#m]screened.
And if they say something
that you find offensive,
it is a conscious decision
on the part of the programmer at the station,
because he knows that if they [B]play it,
the ratings are going to [Am]go up
and the value of that broadcast prop[Am]erty
is going to go up.
[E]And that's [Ab]all the broadcasters
care about.
For them to pass the buck
back
to the record company
and say, you didn't warn us,
is totally bogus.
